| HC stays de-affiliation of Divya College of Education | | | Et Report
JAMMU, Jan 19: As a virtual relief to Divya College of Education, the High Court of Jammu Kashmir, Jammu Wing has stayed the de-affiliation of said college.
An interim order in this regard was issued on Jan 8th 2014 by Justice Bansi Lal Bhat.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jammu University through an order dated 26-6-2013 had issued de-affiliation of Divya College of Education, Gadigarh from University with academic session 2013-14.
The University order was challenged by the College on grounds that that the de-affiliation order was taken by University withouttaking into consideration the reply forwarded by the Show Cause Notice and without affording it an opportunity of being heard.
The Court relief has paved way for the College to seek from University the filling up the vacant 334 seats of B.Ed in favour of the College.
The College is said to have fulfilled all mandatory requirements for admissions for year 2013-14 in toto. Besides, the college has also obtained No-Objection Certificate from Department of Higher Education. |
