| NSF appeals govt. to fill vacant post of chairman JKBOSE | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 19: National Secular Forum (NSF) has appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to fill the pivotal post of Chairman Board of School Education (BOSE) at the earliest. According to press release, while expressing concern NSF President said, "BOSE is presently run by Secretary School Education who has already a lot of responsibilities. The School Education is a very big department spread across the length and breadth of the State and prolonged dual responsibility attached to a single officer is neither good for BOSE nor for School Education Department,". He added that BOSE was running without Chairman since last ten months & the responsibility has been given to Commissioner Secretary who remained at Civil Secretariat. He said that the students from all regions of the state are facing problems in BOSE and due to non availability of Chairman; staff was creating mess in their work. "BOSE has become a non-accountable organizations and government's adhoc approach to deal with the organizations of vital importance as that of BOSE tells upon the interests of the student community", he said. |
