| Div Com discusses expansion of Jammu Airport | | |

JAMMU, Feb 6 : Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shant-manu today convened a high level meeting to discuss issues related to Memorandum of Undertaking (MOU) to be signed for transfer of Army land at Satwari to Airport Authority of India through J&K Government for expansion of Jammu Airport.
The meeting was attended by DDC Jammu, A. K. Sahu besides senior officers from Army, R&B, PWD and other concerned departments. Detailed discussion was held regarding the expansion of Jammu Airport and issues impeding the expansion.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed that the various agencies involved in the project should synchronize their working so that bottlenecks can be removed for timely completion of the prestigious project.
The meeting was informed that the exercise of getting clearances from various State and Central agencies for the expansion of Jammu Airport has completed for transferring the land measuring 20 kanals and 2 marlas in 1st phase to army in lieu of the land adjoining the airport, which is presently housing several utilities of the Army and will be used for the expansion of airport. |
