| JKPCC must consult High command on pre-poll alliance for LA elections | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 6: Political experts believe that the Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) must approach the high command and tell them that having any kind of alliance with National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir for Assembly elections would be disastrous for them. This is the time for them to reach out to the people of the state with their work done and performance for past 11 years, in which they have been part of two coalition Governments, one with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and another with National Conference, they suggest.. During past five years, it has been observed that it is only the Congress Ministers who have done some kind of development works for the welfare of the state and such type of works which are beneficial on long terms basis, whether it is holding panchayat elections or creation of new administrative units. The State Congress leaders must apprise their high command in the Centre that they have the best chance to form their own Government in the state and work for integrity of state with Nation and welfare of people of the state. The National Conference so far has only played divide and rule politics in the state and they have managed to put the state on such a position where dependency on the Central Government has increased. The Congress leaders have much to sow to the high command and people that the tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad in Jammu and Kashmir was the best phase of development and if again Congress is able to form Government here, people will see new phased of development. |
