| BJP sinking under Modi's repression: Bhim Singh | | Says 370, Ram Mandir gone with the wind | |
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 6: Terming Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) sinking ship under party's Prime Ministerial candidate Narinder Modi, National Panther Party, Chief Prof Bhim Singh today said that issues like article 370 and Ram Mandir have gone with the wind. Addressing a rally of National Panthers Students Union in the capital, the NPP Supermo said, "Neither written in the Constitution of India nor followed by any ethics or conventional law, has a person been declared by a single party to lead the country as a Prime Minister of India least caring for the jurisprudence of the Indian Constitution and democracy." He said that even the first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was not named by his party as the Prime Minister. "Making of a Prime Minister is a developing science and grows through evolutionary process. By naming a person as Prime Minister is like naming a baby girl before conception. It is not recognized in the Constitution", he said, adding that Mathematically a party having at least majority of its Lok Sabha MPs, 272 (minimum) shall have to elect its leader only after election. He further said, "It is for the President to appoint a Prime Minister. The Constitution does not make it obligatory for the President to appoint any person as Prime Minister even if he is supported by the majority. Those who have nominated a candidate for the Prime Ministership after 2014 election knew it well that BJP has no scope, support or acceptance to gain majority in the Lok Sabha." "May it be that BJP wanted to get rid off its old, not paying agenda like Article 370 and Ram Mandir. They have chosen a way out to wriggle out of this agenda. That's why the BJP had chosen a person who has yet to understand geographical boundaries and in-depth of the composite cultures of this great nation", the NPP Supremo said, adding that the first casualty of Modi's nomination as Prime Ministerial candidate has been Bhartiya Janata Party founded by country's first RSS Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee who had adapted himself to the warmth of secularism and mutual co-existence of diverse schools of thought in India. The legacy promoted by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has remained unattended and uncared for the reason, which needs no discussion. |
