| Cong workers hold meeting at village Chak Chimanay | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 7 : A meeting of Congress workers of Bishnah Assembly segment was held today at village Chak Chimanay to discuss problems being faced by the residents of this segment. The meeting was organized by Kirpal Singh Jamwal, in which member of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Ashwani Puri was chief guest. Speakers while speaking on the occasion, appreciated Congress leadership for taking stand to distribute administrative units in rational and genuine manner. Speakers said that it was all due to the efforts of AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi, PCC chief Saif ud Din Soz and chairman of the Cabinet Sub Committee (CSC) Tara Chand that equal distribution of administrative units was made. They said that Congress members in the CSC headed by Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand have taken stand in favour of people and ultimately aspirations of all regions and sub-regions were addressed. Speakers said that with the creation of 659 new administrative units, people will get government at their door steps and this step would help in decentralizing power at grass root level. They said that credit goes to Congress for the creation of new units. Speakers, while calling upon the party workers to spread message of Congress party in every nook and corner of Bishnah assembly segment, said that creation of new administrative units is biggest achievement of Congress party and there is a need to take this issue to the people. They further said that Congress led UPA government during its tenure has taken revolutionary steps for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society. |
