Jammu, Feb 7 : The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), Jammu in collaboration with the Government Polytechnic for Women Shakti Nagar, Jammu today organized a Road Safety Awareness Camp in the college premises. The awareness camp was a part of ongoing drive by the department to sensitize the school and college students about the importance of observance of the Road Safety Rules and the procedures for making of driving licences. A power point presentation on procedures for filling up of on line Learner's Licence forms and the formalities required was made to the students. The students were also familiarized with traffic signs and road markings through a power point presentation. Films were shown on Road Safety especially on the need to observe Traffic rules so as to avoid traffic accidents. Learner's Licence forms were also distributed among the students and the staff of the college so as to make it convenient for them to apply for the same. The students of the college participated in the camp with great enthusiasm. Harish, staff of the polytechnic college and staff of the RTO, Jammu were present on the occasion. |
