Poonch, Feb 7 : Several areas of Poonch Haveli Constituency on Friday continued to celebrate creation of new administrative units in which locals NC activists participated enthusiastically. Sathara, Mandi and Loran wore a festive look where the locals assembled to welcome Senior NC Leader and MLA Poonch, Ajaz Jan over the landmark initiative.
Addressing the rallies, Jan described the creation of new administrative units as a major milestone and exuded confidence that these will transform the socio-economic landscape of the various areas.
"By this initiative, the Omar Abdullah led government has met the long pending demand of the people in his constituency. Jan expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for the step and said this will go a long way in mitigating the difficulties of the people and giving impetus to rural development with fund flow under various schemes increasing manifold. Terming the decision as 'a victory for National Conference, Jan complimented all those who strived for implementing the reports formulated at various levels.
Calling upon the people to strengthen hands of the National Conference leadership, he spelled out various other initiatives taken during the past five years for ensuring inclusive development, sustaining peace and implementing various welfare measures.
The inhabitants of Haveli Poonch thanked MLA Poonch Ajaz Jan for establishment of new administrative units as Haveli constituency got the maximum share due to influence, prolific, logical representation and hard work of Jan. Among those who spoke on the occasion were Ch Abdul Gani, Bagh Hussai Rathore, Abdul Ahad Bhatt, Abdul Ahad Kamrate, ,Block President, Peer Anyat Bukhari Dr Zahoor Tantary, Haji Abdul Aziz and many others. |
