| Burglars strike at HSS boys Kishtwar, decamped with cash | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar, Feb 13: In another incident of burglary, 4th in last one week, unidentified buglers during last intervening night carried out a burglary inside the administrative block of Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar and decamped with some cash collected by the staff on account of admission fee from the students. As per sources the buglers break the main lock of the room and after entering inside the room, the burglars broke liver and pull out the window of main locker with admission record. The buglers decamped with Rs 6000 to Rs 7000 admission cash kept inside the locker. As per the in charge admission section, the cash was stapled along with admission form of few students whose admission process was not completed yesterday. He said that majority of admission cash approximately Rs 2.50 lacs is lying with them at home in safe custody. He said that the burglars have removed the cash from each admission form kept inside the locker and added that no official record is missing from the block. After hearing about the incident, senior police officers including Dy. SP HQ Nazir Ahmed Ganie, SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Geelani rush to the spot and inspect the scene of crime. Police has also registered an FIR and started its investigation. Meanwhile school authorities blames the GREF authorities for today's theft and added that despite repeated request to the GREF authorities for erecting damaged compound wall of the school. School official said that few years ago GREF authorities while constructing the drain outside the school damaged about 200 meters of compound wall of the school in the process and added that due to damage of this compound wall, the school premises become vulnerable to outsiders. |
