Party workers upbeat, say their 'views' stand vindicated
Modi bashing by Omar & MLAs' 'stone silence'

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 13: The workers in state unit of BJP are having mixed feelings on Modi bashing by none other than the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself in the state Assembly on Wednesday. The workers feel disappointed the way Omar lashed out at their Prime Ministerial candidate which was responded with stone silence by the party legislators in the House. The workers are happy too because they feel what they have been observing and conveying it to the party leadership about the 'conduct' of the legislators vis-a-vis their soft approach towards the government, NC in particular, stands vindicated and the MLAs by making that explicit have exposed themselves .
It was nothing new to be seen on part of the BJP MLAs in the J&K Assembly when they remained reticent when the Chief Minister continued political attack and tirade against Narendra Modi, the towering leader in the party at present. Modi's name for one and all matters at present in the party in any state including J&K as the entire show of 2014 and the higesht poll stakes are dependent on his wave and all pervasive Modi factor. His name is no less than sacred for stalwarts, even his adversaries within the party as the entire success of 2014 depends on his role and image. They make all out efforts to defend him outrightly whenever any political party tries to pull him up or drag his name into any controversy.
However, that was not be seen in the state Assembly when the entire group of legislators almost insulated themselves from the continuous attack made by Omar Abdullah, which was uncalled for. Though he did not name Modi by name but the attack was veiled and directly against him on the issues that stirred up NC in recent past. Surprisingly, the state president Jugal Kishore who is one of the MLAs of party too remained unfazed by the tirade from CM, instead of showing some courage to hit back or at least ask to tone down the criticism , Modi being no ordinary leader but the Prime Ministerial candidate of his party.
While this happened on Wednesday inside the House, it left an imapct among the workers in more than one way. No doubt it has hurt the dedicated lot of BJP workers having conviction to hilt and respect for PM candidate, but more than that they are upbeat about the fact that the conduct of the legislators in not responding instantly to Modi bashing , no matter by the CM, has got them exposed in front of the central leadership as also the public. The workers are also viewing this as their observance standing vindicated as earlier on when they would speak about such things (proximity of MLAs with NC leadership, soft approach) , no body would listen to them or it would simply be dismissed as wrong , untrue. The fresh development , they feel, has now come to fore as truth that some legislators actually form 'B' team of NC, a name they have earned on this account.
