| JDL supports demand of 'Tehsil status to Bufliaz' | | | Poonch, Feb 15: A meeting of advocates, members of civil society and youth of block Bufliaz was organized near Tehsil Complex Surankote, of Poonch district under the chairmanship of Majad Khan Advocate Chairman Justice and Democratic League (JDL).
While addressing the meeting chairperson Khan demanded the immediate announcement from chief minister Omar Abdullah to upgrade block Bufliaz as Tehsil, as it consists of 22 Panchayats and is spread over a vast area. Khan added that block Bufliaz is the old block of the District Poonch and has importance from historical point of view, besides having more than 80 thousand population.
M H Shah Vice Chairman of JDL also addressed the meeting and alleged that till date the block Bufliaz has been treated step motherly as in Tehsil Mendhar two tehsils have been granted while the block Bufliaz, the deserving one has been ignored.
Shah added that JDL will continue its struggle till it reaches to its goal and justice for block Buflaiz. |
