| POK displaced people hold protest in Hiranagar | | | Early Times Report
Hiranagar, Feb 15: A protest demonstration was held at Hiranagar Tehsil by the POK Displaced Persons Welfare Front (POKDPF) Tehsil Hiranagar under the president-ship of Krishan Lal Bakshi.
Hundreds of DPs from all the corners of Tehsil Hiranagar assembled at sports stadium hiranagar and then marched towards the tehsil office raising slogans of solving their problems.
They submitted their memorandum to Tehsil Hiranagar.
Talking to E.T Reporter president K.L.Bakshi said that few days back our Revenue minister and revenue secretary have proposed a package of 25 lac rupees for each type of DPs family for one time settlement which is lying in Chief Ministers office awaiting Hon"ble Chief Minister's recommendations.
The DPs also requested to J&K and Centre Govt. to review this burning problem which DPs are facing till now and find out the effective way out. |
