The SIT is coordinating with Punjab Police to probe the actual reason behind the mysterious death of Khalid Mintoo. As per reports reaching here, it is said that both Punjab police and J&K Police are expecting the breakthrough very soon as they have started the investigation on positive note.

The government decision comes in wake of a representation submitted to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah through MoS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo by the father of the deceased student.
As per the context of the application, the family suspects the hand of his friend namely Ranveer Singh son of Gurmeet Singh resident of Hoshiyarpur behind the death of his son. He alleged that his friend who had some personal grudge, the accuse mixed some poisonous substance in his dinner as a result of which his son fell unconscious enroute to bus stand inside the car of his friend and was later admitted in Hoshiyarpur civil hospital at around 11 PM. He alleged that under well planed conspiracy, sufficient medicine was not provided to him and added that at later stage his deceased son was shifted to Shivan Hospital at 2.15 AM where his son breath his last. The father also demanded for CBI probe into the death of his son so as to restore the faith among the parents of number of J & K students studying in Punjab colleges and other states of the country. Meanwhile Mehboob Kraipak, Maternal Uncle of Khalid Mintoo, personally and on behalf of Khalid's family has thanked the State Government particularly MOS Home Sajad Ahmed Kichloo for his personal efforts in constituting the SIT for investigating the death case of Khalid and hope that both Punjab police and J&K Police will work to provide justice to their deceased son by punishing the culprits behind the death of Khalid.
