Staff dearth mars functioning of Provident Fund Organisation

Jammu, Feb 19: Staff dearth at Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Jammu, has delayed refund or advance of the provident fund of employees. Moreover, the cases are not being disposed off as per the scheduled fixed for disposal by the government. According documents an applicant, Nishant Kumar had applied for Provident Fund on August 22, 2013, but his case has not been settled yet. "Case number JK125/419 dated, 22-08-2013 still stands in official computer of organization", said Nishant Kumar, PF refund seeker, adding that due to negligence of staff, his original application has misplaced from the office of Employees Provident Fund Organisation, Rail Head Complex Jammu. "I have visited, Organization office many times and had made documentary communication with the officials, but nothing has been done so far", he regretted. "Maximum staff of Employees Provident Fund Organisation, has been transferred since I submitted my application for PF. There was an amount Rs 39670 as provident to get it, i had submitted all requisite documents", he said, adding that due internal problems of organization a numbers PF beneficiaries were daily visiting the office, but like him the purposes of others were also un-disposed."The Organisation has fixed 45 days time frame for refund of PF and 15 days for Advance of PF.
But same is taking twice or thrice of scheduled time", narrated an EPFO Jammu's Employees seeking anonymity. He said that the Organisation has also taken up the issue staff dearth with Service Selection Board, but same was not being materialized. "As the Orgnisation has opened its new district offices, the maximum men have been transferred there.
Since then we are facing difficulties to dispose-off cases", he added. Castigating government's attitude for non-providing sufficient men power, he said that it was government's duty to ensure smooth functioning of the organisation.
