Jammu, Feb 20 : In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Voice of Rights through its President Adv Deepika Singh Rajawat seeking directions to State to notify the rules, which have already been drafted under Section 68 of the J&K Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2013, Division Bench of State High Court issued notices to Chief Secretary, Commissioner/Secretary Law and Commissioner/Secretary Social Welfare Department.
Division Bench further observed that the principle prayer made in the petition is to direct the respondent-State to notify the rules, which have already been drafted under Section 68 of the J&K Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2013 and directed Senior AAG Gagan Basotra may ascertain as to how much time would it require to notify the rules which have already been drafted and directed Registry to list this PIL on march 13, 2014.
