Misdirected Indian Economy' under UPA rule turned into slipshod for small traders: Lekhi
Despite rejection Congress managed to retain power through nexus with AAP

Jammu, Feb 20: Targeting Congress led UPA government's rule at the centre for failing to handle the Indian economy, the BJP National Spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi dwelled at length on the issue and said that the mismanagement and misdirection of the Indian Economy under UPA rule resulted into unmindful of the livelihood of about hundred and twenty million small traders and retailers. She said this while addressing day-long conference of Intellectuals on Indian Economy "Past, Present and Future Scenario" being organized by Chartered Accountants Cell of BJP held at Press Club, Jammu here today. Meenakshi Lekhi, National Spokesperson was chief guest and main speaker on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma, State President BJP was Guest of Honour while BJP National Executive Member Dr Jitendra Singh, State Incharge of Cells Sat Sharma (CA), CA Cell National Co-Convener Sanjay Kapoor and State Convener CA Cell Deepak Kapahi also shared the dais with them.Addressing the conference, Meenakshi Lekhi dwelled at length on the mismanagement and misdirection of the Indian Economy under the past ten years of Congress led UPA government's rule at the centre. Commenting on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), she also mentioned that most of the advanced and industrialized countries do not allow foreign investment in retail business but the UPA government has allowed this opening to big western retail business houses in this trade unmindful of the livelihood of about hundred and twenty million small traders and retailers. Lekhi, in her address, also threw light on the unholy nexus between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress. She pointed out that electorate had totally rejected Congress in the elections but yet it managed to retain the levers of power by supporting Aam Aadmi Party from outside.
Deepak Kapahi CA in his addresses presented the details of Cell and its ongoing activities at different levels in mobilizing their support for achieving the mission 2014 with an eye on at least 272 seats. In the end, Anil Sharma CA presented vote of thanks.
