| KPC castigates political parties for blocking Kashmir Hindu Shrines bill | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 5: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) president Kundan Kashmiri today condemned the ruling alliance including Congress and National Conference as well as Jammu based opposition groups like BJP, NPP and JSM for blocking of passage of Kashmiri Hindus shrine and temple bill in the Assembly on March 4, 2014. "It is a big conspiracy against the Kashmiri Pandits to forfeit their religious rights and take away control of their places in Kashmir valley", he said, adding that the conspiracy was being hatched by heavy weight politicians of various political parties encroachers and land grabbers of the said religious property, shrines and temples of KP community for their personal interests. Kundan Kashmiri said that religious sites in Kashmir were point of attraction and bridge between displaced Kashmiri pundits and Kashmir (Kashyap Bhoomi ) as well as considered to be God's House are occupying a unique position and utmost trust for whole KP community, so, their (temple & shrines) forcible occupation, others control and encroachment can never be compromised by the KP community on the whole and would accelerate their struggle for the same. The meeting of core committee members of KPC also discussed about forth-coming parliamentary and J&K state elections and said after emerging this situation KP community have to decide whether they (KP's) would vote for these political parties or boycott them. This meeting also discussed the modalities and methods to approach court of law to challenge the said blocked of the bill in the Assembly. |
