Encroachment of prime JDA land at Patoli Mangotrian
SVC recommends administrative action against VC JDA

Jammu, Mar 5 : J&K State Vigilance Commission comprising of Kuldeep Khoda Chief Vigilance Commissioner - (Chairperson) , Dr. R.K. Jerarth, Vigilance Commissioner (Member) and Gous-ul-Nisa, Vigilance Commissioner. (Member) in a significant judgment referred the matter to the Chief Secretary J&K Govt, with the recommendation to take administrative action against the public servants, who have failed to take effective steps for getting the JDA land cleared from encroachment at an appropriate time as also to take effective steps to have the writ petition filed before the High Court contested expeditiously and effectively so that further steps as envisaged under law are taken to protect the interests of the Department. The Commission passed these recommendations and strictures in a complaint filed by one Virender Sudan son of Charanjit lal Sudan of Vir Marg Jammu through Advocate Aseem Sawhney.
The complainant had filed the complaint against Ashok Parmar , the then VC JDA, besides complainant levelled allegations against the other subsequent VCs of the JDA from time to time till date.
This complaint was originally filed before the Accountability Commission, from where the file was transferred to the State Vigilance Commission. The Vigilance Commission after hearing the arguments of Aseem Sawhney Advocate of the complainant and the counsel for the JDA and their law officers found that there were serious lapses on the part of these officers of the JDA at the helm of affairs from time to time, who had failed to protect the prime land worth crores due to their lapses informed the complainant..
The complainant's counsel levelled allegations against Ashok Parmar, Sarita Chauhan , Pandurang K Pole, etc who have been Vice Chairmen of JDA from time to time and all had failed to perform their statutory duty to containing the encroachment over the land at Patoli Mangotrian Jammu. JNF
