Jammu, Mar 5: Police today claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers in a locality falling under Police Station Gujjar Nagar and recovered 380 intoxicant capsules and 43 bottles of cough syrup both being sold strictly under prescription.
"The accused have been identified as Mehraj Din and Abdul Latif, both residents of Bhaderwah, police said.
"Acting on the information a naka was raised at Gujjar Nagar by SI Javed Choudhary and two persons were intercepted, the police sources said. They added during their personal frisking police team recovered around 380 intoxicants and around 48 bottles of banned syrup from their possession.
A case in this connection has been registered and further investigation is on. |
