Jammu, Mar 5: Police today claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 12 bovines in Bishnah area while manhunt is on to nab the absconding bovine smuggler. "On specific information a naka was raised at Moodpur, Bishnah and a truck bearing regid no JK14B-4519 was intercepted, the police spokesman said and added that during search of aforesaid vehicle, police party rescued 12 bovine animals which were being transported illegally from Bishnah to Jammu city without due permission. "The driver of the said vehicle fled away from the spot, said spokesman further adding, "a case under FIR No. 35/2014 u/s 188 of RPC, 3PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Bishnah and manhunt is on to nab absconding bovine smuggler . |
