Mendhar (Poonch), Mar 7: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Yash Pal Sharma, MLC today sought mandate of the people to accelerate developmental activities in the remotest and neglected areas. Addressing a public meeting inChatral area of Mendhar assembly segment, Sharma reminded the people that it was during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that a comprehensive development plan was formulated for this belt. He, however, regretted that most of the developmental works are either incomplete or left midway by the present regime. He said that most of the developmental works in this belt have been abandoned by the present regime. Pointing towards backwardness and underdevelopment of this belt, Mr Sharma said that failure of the present to complete the Parnai project is an example of the casual approach being adopted by this regime for the betterment of this region. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Mendhar, Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan said that coming Lok Sabha elections are trailer of the Assembly elections. He sought support of the people to strengthen hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti. He said that only PDP has a vision for the growth and development of every section of the society. Maroof Khan, Rashid Qureshi, Mohammad Azam Sagar, Ch Hassan Majid, Raja Naseem Khan, Mohammand Din Poswal, Haji Ab Khan, Amar Singh Josh, Manzoor Hussain Shah, Haji Mohammad Hussain, Subash Chander, Mohammad Azam Fani and others addressed the meeting. |
