| PDP leaders stress for strengthening of booth-level committees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 7: To strengthen the booth-level committees for general elections, the Youth Wing of Peoples Democratic Party today held a meeting at Gandhi Nagar under the leadership of State Vice President of youth wing Rajender Singh Manhas and Abdul Hamid Choudhary, Co-ordinator for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat. Choudhary exhorted youth workers to remain prepared for the polling of crucial LokSabha elections and appealed to them to strengthen the booth-level committees, which will play a very significant role in garnering support for the victory of the party. He added that the coalition partners in the state have failed to meet the aspirations of people. "The people of the state have seen malfunctioning of all the mainstream parties who have accentuated corruption at all the pervasive levels making lives of common public miserable. Under these circumstances, the PDP is the only force which can fulfil the expectations," he added. Choudhary Hamid asked the gathering to look at Mufti Mohd Sayeed as an undisputed leader to change the destiny of J&K. The objective can only be achieved by making the booths-level committees strong and the real force to bring victory to the party, he added. State Vice President of Youth wing spoke about the strategy to strengthen booth-level committees and encouraged workers to contact new voters and persuade them for voting in favour of PDP by directly working for people and informing them about party's ideology and pro-people policies. He informed the present members and assured that the young party workers are ready to meet the challenges in the area under any circumstances. |
