| Manjit Singh seeks probe into BSF recruitment of April 2012 | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Mar 7: Congress leader Manjit Singh today demanded probe into the recruitment of youth in Border Security Force (BSF) in the month of April 2012 and they were denied right to join duty. They also staged a protest demonstration at Deputy Commissioner, Samba complex and handed over a memorandum to the DC Samba for Director General of BSF. Singh alleged that they have submitted the memorandum demanding investigation into the issue as the youths, who were selected in the recruitment after their physical, written, medical test and then interviewed, were not allowed to join their duties saying the border guards have recruited more youths against the number of vacancies. He questioned how it was possible that youth can be recruited more than vacancies available in the BSF? Singh also raised suspicion of any conspiracy in the entire issue. He alleged that some of the youths, who were selected in BSF, have become over aged and the Union Home Ministry should intervene into the issue and allow the recruited youths to join the BSF. "They have passed all the tests yet they were not allowed to join leaving a large number of youth unemployed," he alleged, while threatening that if this issue is not resolved, they would launch agitation in this regard. |
