Kishtwar, Mar 7: A Financial literacy Campaign was conducted by NABARD in Government High School, Village Banderna, Kishtwar and Adarsh Gupta District Development Manager, Kishtwar from NABARD represented the host organization. Among other present on the occasion were Satish Gupta(LDM, SBI)), Mohd Shafi Giri (Incharge High School), Shami Sen (Teacher) and along other teachers and a gathering of students.. Adarsh Gupta, DDM NABARD informed the gathering of students and faculty about the Financial System of India, its components and functions. The audience was informed about the need and the benefits of being associated with the banks, by having saving accounts, deposit accounts or current account with banks. The gathering was informed about the various types of credit facilities available from banks like education loan, business loan, retail loan, agriculture loan etc. Further it was explained to them about the procedures/KYC norms to avail the various kind of banking facilities. The aim of the programme was to disseminate the requisite knowledge that will help the audience in their future endeavors and for the overall financial inclusion of the poor and the general public at large in the district of Kishtwar. |
