Jammu, Mar 8: BJP candidate for Udhampur-Kathua Parliamentary constituency, Jitendra Singh, has castigated the government machinery and the ruling coalition for continuous and uninterrupted on day-to-day basis the violation of the Model Code of Conduct that has come in operation with the announcement of poll schedule. Citing the instance of blatant government help being extended to the Congress MP's political program for his electioneering on 9thMarch by installing street lights on war footing after the announcement of poll schedule in Bhoond(Sheetal Nagar on Basohli Bani road) to lure public, Jitendra Singh questioned the government as to why this haste now. He added that earlier also had handed over two Ambulances to Rotary Club, Udhampur on Friday after Model Code of Conduct had become operational. He has already brought the matter to the notice of the Election authorities and has appealed it to take stern action failing the BJP will be force to take recourse to legal option. He said that BJP Incharge Election related matters Rajinder Sharma has brought these violations into the notice of Election Commission in written. Singh said that these pretentious acts of benevolence by the ruling Congress only indicate its panic and frustration and has therefore thrown caution to winds and is violating Model code of conduct openly and regularly. It has lost self confidence on account of overwhelming public response to BJP Election campaign particularly impressive show at public rallies and over 15 road shows in different areas of district Kathua. |
