Reasi, Mar 8: The NSS Unit of Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi organized valedictory function of the 10 days long annual camp which had started on Feb 18. Prof Ajeet Angral Principal of the College was chief guest and Prof Manisha Kohli Dept of psychology GDC Gandhi Nagar presided over the function whereas Prof Jagdish Kumar, Prof Raj Kumar, were guests on honor on the occasion. The programme started with the lightening of the traditional lamp followed by Saraswti Bandna. In his inaugural address, Prof Ajeet Angral appreaciated the role of NSS volunteers in different activities during the camp and motivated the students by highlighting the importance of NSS for shaping the future of students in particular and the country in general. He also stressed on the NSS motto "Not me But You" as key word for social service. Dr Rajesh Sharma NSS programme officer also gave a detailed note of the activities conducted by the NSS unit of the college during the annual camp. He said a rally on the issue "To Save A Girl Child", A symposium on environment protection, a visit to Orphan etc were organized. Besides, a colourful cultural programme and prize distribution function was also held on the occasion. |
