Early Times Report

BANI, Mar 8 : Continuing with his whirlwind tour of the constituency,BJP candidate for Kathua -Udhampur-Doda , Dr. Jitendra Singh today reached Bani where he held a massive public rally and a road march through the main town.
Reiterating the demand for a separate hill district comprising Bani-Basohli-Billawar, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, BJP has already recognized it as a separate district but the government has not.
Referring to the rich cultural and art heritage of the area , Dr. Jitendra Singh said , the Kashmir- centric government has been deliberately ignoring the prospect of developing the tourist potential of this area and promoting its art.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said , it is a strange contradiction that even as this area is only a few kilometres away from the Pathankot - Kathua railway line , the sitting MP of the constituency , even though being from the ruling party , could not get a rail link for this area .
Dr. Jitendra Singh appealed for a vote for BJP so that when Narendra Modi becomes the PM , these long standing demands of the area can be addressed. Master Lal Chand , MLA Bani, recounted the contribution of BJP in development of this area and asked for a vote for Dr. Jitendra Singh to give BJP a representation in the Parliament from this area.
Satish Sharma , State Prabhari Morchas , referred to Dr. Jitendra Singh's qualities of head and heart , and said, the BJP could not have thought of a better candidate than him , and the difference will be realized by the people when Dr. Jitendra Singh reaches the parliament.
