MENDHAR, Mar 8 : Jats of Jammu and Kashmir, after being excluded from the other backward classes (OBC) list even as the community members in nine states, have decided to campaign against Jammu and Kashmir Government and Central Government in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. "As campaigning for elections is picking up, we will canvass against National Conference , especially against the Abdullah family, its patriarch and chief minister Omar Abdullah, who is to be mainly blamed for leaving Jats of Jammu and Kashmir in the lurch," said Javaid Iqbal Jatt President Jatt Student Union Adding that within days, he said the community will start protests against Jammu and Kashmir government and as well as Central Government, the primary protest would be held in Mendhar. He also said that Jat outfits of Jammu and Kashmir blame NC-Congress government in the state for their being left out of OBC quota that provides for reservation in central government jobs and state-run educational institutes. "Jat Community of Jammu and Kashmir is considered to be politically most influential and the community dominates the political scene and is backbone of National Conference base, especially in rural areas but this time Jats in state is sidelining from its political affiliation i.e. NC, he added. He maintained that factions of ruling National Conference-Congress, were also to be blamed for denying the right of Jats to resonation. |
