Kishtwar, Mar 8 : A Veterinary camp was today organized by the 26 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Suigarh Rashtriya Rifles Sector and Delta Force in Gundoh Sub Division as part of OPERATION SADHBHAVANA. Approximately 450 locals witnessed the event.
The veterinary camp was primarily aimed at meeting the long outstanding demand of the local populace for whom rearing of livestocks is a major source of livelihood.
A total of 230 domestic animals were examined and treated including 40 Goats, 30 Cows,10 Buffaloes, 30 Sheeps and 120 Horses. Free medicines including vaccines worth Rs 50,000/- were disbursed during the camp.
At the same time, advice on health care and upkeep of animals was also rendered to the animal owners.
