Early Times Report

Rajouri, Mar 31: Taking a dig on Congress candidate for Jammu-Poonch parliamentary seat and two times Member Parliament (MP) Madan Lal Sharma, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) district body today held Congress party responsible for the deplorable conditions of the twin border districts Rajouri and Poonch. They criticized Madan Lal for his failures in all terms as MP for the last 10 years.
Mobilizing their election campaign district body also lambasted State and Central governments for their step motherly treatments to Rajouri district in providing basic amenities such as road connectivity, communication links and other civic facilities. The district body conducted an extensive tour of various far-flung areas of Thannamandi tehsil, which includes Broon, Dhara, Alal, Mangota and Nayali villages under the leadership of State Vice President Vibodh Gupta.
Many public meetings were organised in which Vibodh educated the people regarding the policies and development plans of BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narender Modi. Speaking in the meetings, Vibodh condemned the 10 years tenure of Madan Lal as total wastage of time and funds. Vibodh said that Madan spent a meager amount out of the funds allotted to him for the development of Rajouri district.
Madan always gave deaf ear to the prolonged demands of twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, Vibodh said and he also added that mis-governance has been reached to such an extent that people in these border belt are even forced to pay the rent of water connections which they have obtained from natural water resources.
Appealing people to vote in favour of BJP candidate Jugal Kishore Sharma, Vibodh said that BJP is getting strengthened day by day and a large number of people from Muslim community are coming to the party-fold which clearly shows that a confidence has been built among them after the false propaganda of 'secularism' being launched by Congress to mislead these people.
Now these people understand the nefarious design of Congress and being impressed with the policies of BJP, they wanted Narendar Modi to become next Prime Minister of India, Vidodh stressed. Other party leaders, Zahid Ahmed and Ranjeet Tara also addressed the meetings and appealed to the people to cast their vote in favour of Jugal Kishore Sharma to ensure his victory in parliamentary polls. Other party leaders who were present in these meetings include Amjad Khan, Nisar Ahmed, Sheraz Ahmed, Rafiq Malik and Khalil Rehman.
