State plunged into unprecedented crisis due to immature leadership: PDP

Chenani, Mar 31: Blaming successive National Conference led regimes responsible for backwardness and neglect of the hilly areas, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary segment Arshad Malik today sought support of the people to establish a new system in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure equitable development of all regions and sub-regions of the State. Addressing an impressive public meeting at Chenani town along with Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Sartaj Mandi and senior leader Sardar Rangil Singh, Malik said that system has been completely collapsed in Jammu and Kashmir and those at the helm of the affairs are not concerned about increasing woes of the common masses. "PDP is contesting election to change the inept and corrupt system with the support of the people", he said and pointed out since formation of National Conference-Congress government the State has been plunged into unprecedented crisis due to immature leadership of present government. "Except enjoying power, this regime has no other agenda", he said and termed NC-Congres regime as synonymous with crime and corruption because corruption has been legalized in this part of the country. "While as people in other parts of the country are struggling against the menace of corruption but in Jammu and Kashmir corruption has been sneaked into the administration from top to bottom", Malik said. He said that every section of the society is bearing brunt of the misdeeds of present regime. He mentioned that there are 96111 daily wagers working in PHE, PDD, PWD, Forest, and Revenue departments but government is not serious to regularize services of these poor and helpless employees despite that some of them have completed service of more than 10 years. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Sartaj Madni said that legalizing corruption in the only noticeable achievement of NC-Congress regime. "Jammu and Kashmir is the only state in the country where corruption has been legalized", he said and narrated various corruption cases that exposed in the state during the last five and half years and regretted that young Chief Minister has failed to come up to the expectations of the people. "People had high hopes from this "young" and "dynamic" Chief Minister but he has proved as "dynamite" for the people because he (Omar Abdullah) through his mis-deeds and mis-governance has dashed hopes of the every sections of the society", he said.
