JAMMU, Apr 28: Wrestler Benia of J&K Police defeated Amit of Rohtak in Haryana to lift the 32nd Katra Kundrorian Kesari dangal title at Hanuman Akhara Katra Kundrorian in district Reasi. Senior vice president of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Katra and state general secretary of BSP, Rakesh Wazir was chief guest in this day-long dangal, organized by Kundrorian Katra Dangal Committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Treasurer of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided. Prominent among others present were Prithvi Raj Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Virender Kumar Sharma and Onkar Singh. President of the dangal committee, Balwant Singh supervised the whole event. The winner of the main bout, Benia presented with a cash prize of Rs 12,000 while runners-up, Amit got Rs 9,000 by the chief guest. Second main bout won by Gurmail of Chandigarh, who beat Ajay of Udhampur while third bout won went to Jakker of Sarore beating Joginder of Delhi. Similarly, in fourth main bout, Farooq of Sarore defeated Dharmvir of Delhi and the fifth bout between Anil of Chandigarh and Bobari of Jammu remained undecided after 23 minutes of close contest. In all, 58 bouts took place in this dangal witnessed by huge gathering.
