| NC creates Modi phobia to hide misdeeds of State Government | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 28: Campaign for the Srinagar Parliamentary segment ended today amidst "Modi Fear" created by ruling National Conference. Polling for this prestigious Parliament segment-where National Conference stalwart Dr Farooq Abdullah is contesting, would be held on April 30. Polling for Anantnag Lok Sabha segment- where PDP patron Mehbooba Mufti is a candidate, was held on last week.During the electioneering of two Parliamentary segments of Kashmir province, National Conference's campaign started with criticizing BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and concluded with Modi bashing. Throughout its campaign for two Parliamentary segments, National Conference leadership attacked Narendra Modi. Political experts are of the opinion that National Conference, which is heading coalition Government in Jammu and Kashmir from January 5, 2009 and is part of the UPA Government headed by Congress at Centre, has nothing to showcase as its achievements of nearly six years. "Modi bashing campaign is part of the strategy of the ruling National Conference to divert attention of the common masses from its failure", a political expert said and added that National Conference leadership has cunningly created fear of Narendra Modi in Kashmir and tried to exploit sentiments of the people of State especially of Kashmir Valley. If one goes through the speeches of National Conference leaders since beginning of the campaign, it has become clear that neither Chief Minister Omar Abdullah nor Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah have highlighted their achievements. Everyday their speeches started with Modi bashing and concluded with criticizing Gujarat Chief Minister. Known for their mastery in exploiting sentiments of emotional people of Kashmir Valley by creating fear among people, National Conference leadership this time created Modi phobia to hide misdeeds of the State Government. Interestingly every Tom, Dick and Harry in National Conference is criticizing Narendra Modi who has earned faith and credibility of the people of Gujarat and has emerged as strong national leader. From Vimla Luthra to Rattan Lal and from Devendra Rana to Dr Farooq Abdullah, every leaders in National Conference these days is availing every opportunity to criticise Narendra Modi. |
