| Naib Tehsildar, MCB official randomly inspects consumer market | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Apr 28 : Market checking squad from Municipal Committee Bhaderwah (MCB) today conducted random inspections of different markets here and fined shopkeepers for selling unhygienic food items. The market checking squad headed by Naib Tehsildar Bhaderwah Masood Ahmed along with officials of MCB Rajesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Sajid Malik and TSO Bhaderwah Farooq Keemu conducted an extensive market checking drive and directed to sell eatables on approved rates.
"All the shopkeepers were asked to sell the products in accordance to the rate list issued by the district administration, an official said adding, "the enforcement team warned the mutton sellers of stern action in case they continued to violate the government rate lists. During the drive the enforcement squad also destroyed the unhygienic vegetables and imposed fine of Rs 2200/- on the vegetable sellers. Hoteliers were advised not to use any domestic gas cylinders in hotels. Naib Tehsildar Bhaderwah urged the people to lodge written complaint with him in case any shopkeeper overcharged them. |
