Jammu, Apr 28: Member of Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front today staged protest outside the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu to press the government in favour of their long pending demands.
Dozens of casual labourer, working in various departments including PWD, PHE, Forest, Wildlife, Soil conservation, Floriculture, JDA, Agriculture for the last more than ten years, assembled outside Div Com office and staged protest demonstration, amid raising slogans. "All the important assignments in above said departments are run by casual labourers, needbase workers due to retirement of permanent employees, but the demand of regularization is not conceded", the protesters said.
Addressing the protesters, Trade Union Leader, Gafoor Dar condemned the delaying policies of state government regarding regularization and payment of pending wages under proper wages head. Nazir Ahmad Molvi, Vikrarmjeet Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Barkat Ali, Devi Dass, Saleem Wani, Ajay Kumar, Makhan Din, Pawan Kuamr, Pritam Lal, Aijaz Ahmad were among those who spoke on the occasion. |
