PIL seeking compensation for LoC mine victims

Jammu, Apr 28 : A letter written to Chief Justice by Deepika Singh Rajawat a practicing lawyer seeking compensations for the victims of mine blasts of Poonch LoC, which was treated as Public Interest Litigation was listed today.
A Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar after hearing Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat in person who is also petitioner, issued notice to Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Poonch and Ministry of Defence, Govt of India to file response within a three weeks.
In the petition petitioner seeking directions to the concerned authorities to disposes off three hundred eighteen long pending compensation cases of mine blasts of victims from Poonch and its adjoining areas to formulate a policy rehabilitate people living in conflict zone on border and to shift them safer places from mine ridden areas.
