Jammu, Apr 28 : Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjay Parihar today awarded Two years imprisonment to Mohd Ashraf, Head Constable posted in the office of ADGP, HG/AUX for issuing fake orders for the appointments of constables in Police department. According to the Crime Branch case, a letter dated January 24, 2002 regarding appointment orders to have been issued from PHQ was discovered to be fake and forged. According to this fake appointment order, 15 candidates were appointed in Jammu Zone of which nine have been appointed as constables in J&K Auxiliary Police II Bn Jammu. On receipt of this letter, an FIR No 07/2002 came to be registered for offences u/s 5(2) PC Act r/w 467,468,420,471/120-B RPC and investigation was commenced and after completion of investigation challan was presented. Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjay Parihar today after hearing CPO Rajesh Bakshi appearing for the Crime Branch whereas Adv PN Bhat appeared for the accused person observed that prosecution has proved its case that accused had forged the orders and awarded 2 years imprisonment. |
