| Farooq, Omar instigating communal tension: Bhim Singh | | Urges PM to 'sack Farooq, dismiss Omar' | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Panthers party Chief Bhim Singh on Monday urged Prime Minster to sack Dr Farooq and dismiss Omar Abdullah for what he termed anti national and communal speeches of the duo. Addressing a press conference at Srinagar, Singh stated that the recent speeches of the NC leaders in Srinagar are nothing but aimed at instigating hatred and communal conflicts in India. "Omar Abdullah announced that he would go to Pakistan if Modi become Prime Minister where as his father Farooq Abdullah, a sitting Union Minister has made a dangerous statement saying that Kashmir shall secede from Indian if Modi becomes Prime Minister of India. FIR was lodged against a BJP leader of Bihar for similar remarks on the issue."Singh also accused that Farooq Abdullah is hell bent to stir communal passion so that he may cash it in Kashmir and Modi shall be benefited in the rest of the country. He also accused that NC had opposed a Panthers Party's Bill in the Legislative Assembly which has proposed incorporation of word "secular" in the J&K Constitution and word secular was deliberately excluded from J&K constitution by the National conference. "On the other hand Omar Abdullah did not migrate to Pakistan when RSS leader, Atal Bihari Vajpayee became Prime Minister, instead, surprisingly he remained a Union Minister under RSS Prime Minister. Omar should come forward and explain his conduct."Singh alleged that NC-Congress and BJP rigged the Jammu polls while as NC and Congress supported Jamat-e-Islami to boycott election so that they could utilize mobile voters in Anantnag. Panthers party chief made a strong appeal to the leaders of all Hurriyat factions to mobilize people to vote in case they really intend to defeat the NC- Congress, PDP and BJP in Kashmir valley. |
