JAMMU, May 4: Two tourist youth today drowned in river Tawi at Hari-Ki-Pouri while they were taking bath this afternoon.The deceased have been identified as Amit Tiwari of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and Rakesh Kumar of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Police said that a group of around ten youth reached Jammu and went to Har-Ki-Pouri for taking bath in the river Tawi. "While taking bath, two of the youth (Amit and Rakesh) went to deep water and drowned", said sources adding that the Amit's body was recovered while body of Rakesh could not be traced when last reports came in. Search operation was on when last reports came in, said sources. A case in this connection has been registered and further investigation is on. |
