| JKPMA bids farewell to outgoing Controller DFCO | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 4: JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer's Association (JKPMA), Jammu organized a function to bid farewell to Satish Gupta, who relinquished his office of Controller, Drugs and Food Control Organization (DFCO), J&K, on attaining superannuation and also to welcome new Controller, Dr. Baldev Raj Sharma. Anil Gupta, president of the association lauded contributions and various initiatives taken by Satish Gupta during his tenure, which resulted in growth of pharmaceutical industrial sector and boosted employment and economical growth of the state. He was further of the opinion that with the continuous support from the state as well as the central govt. a major pharmaceutical cluster of industry can be developed within the state which can act as a nucleus for the development of other allied industry. Satish Gupta in his address admitted that he was very fortunate to have a responsible industry which works with an objective to produce good quality medicines for mass consumption. Dr. Baldev Raj Sharma, Controller, Dugs and Food Control Organisation appreciated the J&K pharmaceutical industry for maintaining the highest quality standards of the drugs and medicines which they produce and complimented them for adopting stringent quality control measures and not indulging into unethical practices. |
