Gang of burglars, extortionists busted
Police claim to solve several cases of thefts, burgalries

Jammu, May 4: Jammu Police have cracked down a gang of burglars in Bishnah and solved 16 cases of burglaries and thefts .
SHO P/S Bishnah along with Police party laid a surprise naka at Kot Morh Bishnah and intercepted 05 pedestrians namely Rohit Kumar S/O Rajan Kumar R/O H.No 264, Street no. 2 Habowal, Civil lines Ludhiana; Vipin Kumar S/O Bua Ditta R/O W No 12 Bishnah, Sandeep Kumar S/O Vijay Kumar R/O H.No 2226 Street No 5 Janak Puri Ludhiana, Sunil Kumar @ Mohit S/O Rakesh Kumar R/O H.No. 164 Street No. 6 Field Gunj Ghanta Ghar Chora Bazar Ludhiana, Akshay Kumar S/O Beli Ram (Badherwahi) R/O WNo. 13 Bishnah and recovered 1 desi katta along with 3 rounds of .303, 2 revolvers, 1 drat, 1 khokhri, 1 folding knife, 16 rounds of 12 bore & 2 empty cartridges of .303 and also recovered 121.72 grams of gold, 200 grams of silver, 1 LCD Videocon (big), 52 Nos of mobiles comprising old & new, 3 motor cycles (1Discover M/Cycle, 1 Splendor Pro M/cycle, 1 Passion Pro M/Cycle) 1 gas cylinder, 1 computer, LED Samsung, UPS, monitor, Key pad, another monitor of AOC , CPU, mouse, 1 Nikon camera, 1 Videocon camera & a no. of coins from his possession and the accused was arrested by the Bishnah police. In this regard, a case FIR No. 66/14 U/S 3/25A/4/25-A Act has been registered and investigation is going on. SHO Bishnah alongwith Police party also laid a naka at Deoli Pull and intercepted, one Tata mobile bearing regd. No. JK02AS-8572. During search of the vehicle police party recovered 05 bovine animals which were illegally transported from Bishnah to Poonch and the driver of the said vehicle was fled away from the spot. In this connection, a case FIR No. 65/14 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act was registered and investigation is going on.
Police Party of PP Nehru market laid a surprise naka at Panama Chowk and intercepted, one Truck bearing regd. No. JK02AL-4513. During search of the vehicle police party recovered 18 bovine animals which were illegally transported from Jammu to Srinagar and the driver of the said vehicle was fled away from the spot. In this connection, a case FIR No. 95/14 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act was registered and investigation is going on.
Police Party of P/S Khour conducted a raid at shop Laam Khour and intercepted, 03 persons namely Bhola Ram S/o Beli Ram R/o Laam Khour, Kartar Chand S/o Ajeet Raj R/o Kajiyan Khour and Shakti Singh S/o Tirth R/o Dariyan and recovered 375 ML of illicit liquor and 02 glass of liquor and the accused were arrested and liquor seized by the Police. In the regard, case FIR No. 27/14 U/S 50/50-A Excise Act was registered at P/S Khour and investigation is going on.
