JAMMU, June 4: MLC Ravinder Sharma visited Government Hospital Sarwal, today to enquire about the condition of the rape victim, a minor girl about 11/12 years resident of Nowshera, who is under treatment following the heinous incident.
Sharma enquired from the senior doctors about the condition of the victim who disclosed that her condition is stable and she is responding to the treatment. He also enquired from the parents about the treatment following the incident, in view of the lapses in this regard.
MLC expressed great pain and shock over the heinous incident with a minor child and termed it as an inhuman act.
He asked the authorities to take strict action under law and also enquire deeply in the lapses with regard to timely treatment to the victim, who was even refused treatment in the SMGS Hospital also.
He spoke to the authorities for some financial assistance to the poor family.
Sharma also spoke to the minister for Health and Medical Education Shri Taj Mohiuddin about the incident and sought fair enquiry and appropriate action in the matter. |
