Bivek Mathur JAMMU, June 4: In a bid to accommodate its blue eyed, Jammu University's recruitment cell has engineered its published advertisement and then rubbed salt in the wounds of the deserving by not returning their fee. In the month of January, 2013, Jammu University's recruitment cell invited applications from the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir filled in all respects for 21 posts within main campus as well as Bhaderwah campus of the varsity with different pay scales under open category with one post in each category. For all posts except Cultural Officer (Youth Welfare) and Drama Instructor (Youth Welfare), the recruitment process went smoothly as there were two requisite options in the advertisement notice i.e. Master Degree in Mass Communication/Journalism and Degree in performing arts. After university received no applications with desired qualification, a high level committee was constituted to find a middle path and applicants were asked to wait till the committee submitted the report. Both the degrees required for these posts were changed to new ones i.e. Masters in Dramatics and knowledge of theatre arts with attendance in workshops. According to an applicant, the varsity had demanded prescribed application forms, which the applicants received from the Forms and Stationary Section (Room No. 204 Second Floor) University of Jammu, personally on payment of Rs 500 is till date not refunded to the applicants which is injustice to number of other applicants like him.
