Samba, June 4 : Police today claimed to have arrested main accused who along with two accomplices had fired on a youth in Vijaypur area few days ago.
Police spokesman said that team led by Ajay Singh, SHO Vijaypur under the overall supervision of Anil Magotra, SP Samba and SS Sambyal, SDPO Vijaypur apprehended the main accused Narender Singh alias Vikku of Kathar Arnia Jammu from Bishnah when he was going towards his residence on the same motor cycle bearing registration number JK02AT-3595 which they had used in the commission of crime. The said accused has fled to Himachal Pradesh and frequently changing his locations to avoid his arrest
. "Today, information was received that he came back to Jammu for collecting some money from his residence. Accordingly, a naka was laid in civvies on the Bishnah road leading towards his village and he was nabbed by the above mentioned team", said spokesman.
Pertinently on 27.05.2014 at about 06.30 PM, above mentioned accused person alongwith Vikas alias Khatta of Resham Ghar Colony, Jammu and Munish Kumar alias Munshi of Dogra Hall, Jammu came on a motor cycle and stabbed Pardeep Singh alias Tony with sharp edged weapon and fired on him with 'Desi Katta' near auto stand, Ramgarh Road, Vijaypur and fled from the spot leaving the injured in pool of blood.
On this, a case under FIR No. 63/2014 under sections 307, 323, 147, 148, 149 of RPC, 3/35 and 4/27 of Arms Act was registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation carried on. After hectic efforts by Police, Khatta and Munish were apprehended on the very next day of crime but Vikku was fled towards Himachal to evade his arrest.
During questioning, the motive and the mastermind behind this criminal offence has been surfaced and it has come to light that the victim Pardeep Singh alias Toni had taken over the business of Adda Parchi of the vehicles operating on Ramgarh road after the death of one Swarn Singh alias Funny.
In order to grab the business of Adda Parchi of vehicles, one Anil Singh alias Billa of Gurha Slathia, Vijaypur who is the nephew of said Swarn Singh alias Funny and presently facing trial in a murder case of registered in Bishnah, had made a phone call from the mobile phone of said Vikku during his court appearance in the said murder case on 12.04.2014 and threatened Toni to quit collecting Adda Parchi from the vehicles operating on Ramgarh road otherwise he has to face the consequences but he refused to do so, said spokesman.
Spokesman further said that acting upon the directions of said Billa, Vikku alongwith his associates Khatta and Munshi stabbed and shoot-out at Tony on 27.05.2014 near Auto Stand, Ramgarh Road, Vijaypur and fled from the spot leaving the injured in pool of blood. |
