EJAC-K hails Omar led government for announcing 'employees' friendly sops'

Jammu, June 4: Employees Joint Action Committee Kashmir (EJAC-K) at PHE Complex, Parade Ground, Jammu today held a meeting in which participants hailed Chief Minister, J&K Omar Abdullah in consequence of the meeting with Employees Joint Consultative Committee held under his chairmanship at Srinagar on dtd:03/06/2014 and mitigating their long pending demands. In a press conference here today, speakers namely S Balvinder Singh-President, PHEWA, S Dhanninder Singh-President JKMEF, Ravi Singh Bahu-President Clerical Association, who represented EJAC(K) as JCC members in meeting with CM, besides Rohit George-Municipal Corporation and S Ravinder Singh-General secretary (Planning) congratulated 4.5 lakh employees of the state for victory of their un-relented struggle and fulfillment of their long pending genuine demands under the banner of Joint Consultative Committee an amalagam of various employees' organizations. Members in this meeting thanked the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for acceding to all the pending demands of the government employees with immediate effect including Enhancement of the retirement age of employees 1st of June-2014 and recruitment age from 37 years to 40 years; withdrawal of all the cases registered against employees under ESMO & DIES and regularization of all Daily Wagers & Need Based Employees. Speakers also hailed CM's orders constitution of a high lever committee under his personal monitoring to study & recommend the same within a stipulated period of 30 days. They further appreciated the CM's move to hold monthly meeting with the JCC to remove distrust and to create a cordial environment of trust & co-operation. Prominent among those who attended the media interaction included Th Swarn Singh, B.S.Pinka, S Paramjit Singh, R.K.Sharma, Balbir Rahi, Amrik Singh, Brijesh Mehta, and others.
