| Jammu, June 4: Short listed candidates of jail warden post in prison department resolved that they will till their logic goal is achieved. They said many political and non-political organizations have supported the demands raised by these candidates but state government recently have doled many sops to its employees and unemployed but nothing to them.Amid slogans, the protesters sitting besides those sitting on strike demanded early release of the final selection list, which was pending for the last more than three years due to the reasons best known to the concerned authorities. Re-iterating their resolve to continue with ongoing struggle, they warned the government not to test their patience and release of final selection list failing which the agitators will further intensify their ongoing the agitation. They informed that about 41182 unemployed youth had applied for the Post, advertised in local dailies in 2005 and 1447 candidates were short listed for the interview which was held in the Month of September 2010. However, he added, even after more than three years since the interviews, the Final Selection List has not yet been released. Shortlisted candidates for these posts urged the Chief Minister to personally look into the matter for getting the selection list released. |
