KATHUA, June 4: Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) highlighted the multi crisis of basic amenities prevailing in Tehsil Billawar by holding a massive protest demonstration against the District administration in front of Secretariat here today. The protestors also pointed out the malfunctioning at local level administration of Billawar alleging that most of the officers are absent at their respective offices and functioning through telephones which is a source of harassment for the public. During the protest, the protestors also shouted the slogans against the District administration, PHE, PMGSY and present Minister of State Dr Manohar Lal Sharma alleging for being failed to address the long pending issues like development of Challan-Dayalachak road, link road from Phinter to Bhaddu, water crisis, embezzlement in centrally sponsored funds for houses as scheme IHSDP and many others. After having the protest demonstration, the inhabitants under the banner of PDP led by Advocate Jatinder Singh Badwal and Sarpanch, Panchayat Pallan Akhtar Ali also submitted a demands charter to the State Government through DC Kathua. |
