KATHUA, June 4: Inhabitants of a border Panchayat of Tehsil Hiranagar, Kathua has urged union government to solve their long pending issues like providing uninterrupted power supply, water supply, an effective alternative for settlement during the breaking out of firing from Pakistan, compensation for land which cannot be used by farmers due to security regions and many others serious and unbearable untold problems. While urging union government to solve the problems, Sarpanch Panchayat Bobya criticized the previous UPA Government which remained unconcerned towards border area's population. He alleged that the people are still facing the lack of roads, unscheduled power cuts and water crisis. He said that the land which is uncultivable has not been compensated to the farmers to whom land is associated. The BADP funds has been trapped in embezzlements and only used in paper but on ground it is nothing more than an eye wash, among the Naib Sarpanch the residents said. |
