PoK refugees stage protest, demand redressal of pending issues 6/4/2014 11:43:46 PM Early Times Report Hiranagar, June 4: POK refugees today staged massive protest against the state government at PWD rest House Hiranagar under the leadership of President KL Bakshi. Addressing on the occasion, KL Bakshi said that the package of Rs 25 lakh rupees for each family for one time settlement is lying in C M office waiting for C M signatures and DP's are still waiting for the Justice. DP's also requested to state government to consider our demands sympathetically and honestly. He highlighted other demands including enlistment of left out DPs not yet registered, grant of adequate compensation, ownership rights for DPs of 1947 1965 & 1971, reservation of DPs, old age pension for all types of DPs.
