Jammu, June 4: A large number of political activists from Malhar Panchayat of Bani Assembly segment of Kathua district today joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
These political activists were convinced by Arshad Malik to join PDP. Arshad Malik was PDP candidate in the just concluded Parliament election. Before joining PDP, these political activists met with patron of the party Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. They expressed faith in the leadership of the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti.
Prominent among those who joined PDP included Mohd Salim Lone, Akbar Ali Bhat, Shamasidin, Mohd Latif, Ishar Das(Panch), Mohd Hussain Bhat, Acchru Ram (Naib Sarpanch), Shazia Asif and others. Local PDP leaders welcome new entrants in the party and hoped that with their joining party would be strengthened in Bani area in particular and Kathua district in general. |
